10 x 10 is exactly what I currently work out of, although I ocassionally spill out into the yard. The largest thing I've made recently in the shop is a floor-standing corner cabinet. It was cosy in there for a few weeks.

Wonderful website, I recently came across it and I’m already a fan. I just lost thirty pounds in thirty days, and I am excited to share my weight loss success with as many people as possible. If I can lose the weight then any one can. No matter what you do, never give up and you WILL reach all your weight loss objectives!

What about it is 'slap happy'? Its a fence and table. It locks in place solidly, and it gives me perfectly drilled holes, at an exact 90 degree angle, with now blowout on the backside. Seems to me, that is all you want in a table.

Would it have been better if I spent hours in sketchup, and worked to some kind of exact measurements? I'd much rather spend that time in the shop _building things_ and perfecting my skills.

Was appaled by the slap-happy way you described the construction of your table. I trust it was only in the description ... and not in the actual construction ! Moreover it would be extremely difficult for a novist woodworker to follow your instruction and go from there to completeing his own. ... far too many steps left out.

Thanks for posting this. I'm pretty new to hand cut dovetails and mine currently are closer to your "before" set than the current set. I was about to post on a forum "you are all liars! (^:" since everybodys' 'first hand cut dovetails' always seem like they came out of a museum piece. Good to see that I'm not alone!!

Hey congrats on your planer, I also have the same planer and I want to upgrade to a Byrd shelix cutterhead in a near future. But I don't know If is wise to do that because the dw735 is tremendous loud and I don't know if the motor will last as much as the planer, maybe is better if I save a little more And buy a grizzly 15" planer with the helix cuttterhead maybe I can sell my dw735 and buy the bigger planer but anyway enjoy you almost new planer. Thanks

Wonderful write-up. I will be trying to make these soon and am looking forward to the inlay slicer. One comment on the edge tool. It is not set up to score at a distance less than the width of your bottom inset. You will have need to score for an inlay pretty close to the edge.

Looking at the picture of the Lie-Nielsen, it seems the bottom part of the diamond shape mortise is cut back some to allow the cutter to move closer to the fence and allow for a line to be cut in as little as 1/8" from the edge.

I'm sure it is an easy correction, but I am not as clever as you and need to have an example in front of me.

Please keep up the wonderful work.
